8.87

言如來者，以自覺聖智所證得名，不以心意識自共相法妄習得名。一切世間皆從不實妄想所生，如來非彼生也。

The term 'Tathāgata' is named after what is realized by the noble wisdom of self-realization; it is not named after the false habituation to the individual and common characteristics of citta, manas, and manovijñāna. The entire world arises from unreal false imagination; the Tathāgata does not arise from that.
