注大乘入楞伽經 9.10

9.10

言無間相續前念滅已，後念續生，若不住色時，無有所緣，則無生也。

This says that after the previous thought in uninterrupted continuity has ceased, the subsequent thought arises in succession. If it does not abide in form, having no object of conditioning, it does not arise.
