注大乘入楞伽經 9.53

9.53

佛言：「四住煩惱無明習氣斷，故名真佛。化佛者，方便現形以化眾生，非真佛也。」此答第六問。

The Buddha says: 'Because the habit-energies of the four abiding afflictions and ignorance are severed, he is called the true Buddha. As for emanation Buddhas, they provisionally manifest forms to transform sentient beings; they are not the true Buddha.' This answers the sixth question.
