Great blue indranīla gems contain the images of all things, changing and responding upon contact. The musical instruments held by these yakṣas were all of this gem, and furthermore interspersed with lapis lazuli and other gems, wrapped with priceless superior garments. The sounds were exquisite, the rhythm harmonious. Therein he spoke three verses in praise of the Buddha: in the first verse, the first three lines properly praise the true mind's own nature realized [by the Buddha], which is the treasury of all dharmas. Because from the beginning it has been fully endowed with immeasurable natural virtues, free from the two graspings at self and detached from the stains of the five views, only Buddha with Buddha can realize and know it. The second verse praises and invites the Buddha to enter the city; the first three lines praise the three bodies in turn, and the fourth line directly extends the invitation. The third verse recounts that past Buddhas and bodhisattvas all dwelt in this city, and the World-Honoured One should also do so; we wish to hear the Dharma.
