1.20

時，復有比丘所說諸疑，陳佛進止。世尊教詔，一一開悟，合掌敬諾而順尊勅。爾時，世尊為說真經四十二章。

At that time, there were again doubts expressed by the bhikṣus, who submitted them to the Buddha for guidance. The Bhagavat instructed and exhorted them, enlightening each and every one. They joined their palms, respectfully consented, and obeyed the venerable command. At that time, the Bhagavat expounded for them the true scripture in forty-two sections.
