The store is the jewel-nature dharmadhātu-garbha, the tathatā of the *Awakening of Faith*, which is the fundamental source of all buddhas and sentient beings, and the essential nature of supernormal powers and radiance. The virtuous functions numerous as dust and sand are all contained within it, and the hundreds of thousands of supernormal powers and radiances all arise from this; hence it is called a store. It is also called the dharmatā land, and also the land of eternally quiescent light. Putting an end to all conceptual distinctions, wisdom merging with principle is called "entering". Now, all buddhas possess constant light and emitted light. In terms of constant light, light is itself the store; that is, the mental nature is fundamentally luminous, but when deluded it appears as darkness. Once vain thoughts are exhausted, it shines forth boundlessly. Thus the treatise says: "When the mental nature does not arise, it is the great wisdom radiance universally illuminating the dharmadhātu." In terms of the light emitted and the supernormal powers manifested, it is the store of supernormal powers and light.
