本覺名如、始覺名來，始、本不二名曰如來。是則眾生有本無始，是如不來。

Original enlightenment is called "tathā" (thus); initial enlightenment is called "āgata" (come); the non-duality of initial and original [enlightenment] is called "Tathāgata". This being so, sentient beings have the original without the initial; they are "thus" without having "come".
