夫聖人無名，為物立稱多依行德，隨宜別標，標立千差，皆有所表。今各以所論法義對釋其名，文理昭然，非強穿鑿。

Now, sages are without names; designations established for beings mostly accord with their practices and virtues, distinguished according to what is fitting. The myriad differences established all have their symbolic meanings. Now, their names are explained respectively in relation to the doctrinal principles discussed, where the text and principle are clear and obvious, not strained interpretations.
