性五故也。初小、次一不了，後具三乘為了。《深密》云云。

[Dharmalakṣaṇa holds] that natures are fivefold: first Hinayāna, next the one [vehicle] is provisional, and finally possessing three vehicles is definitive, as stated in the Saṃdhinirmocana.
