Once one grasps that flowers arise from space, one does not know that they arise from the cataract; the cataract is truly the place where the flowers arise—it does not mean real flowers. If fully matched with the doctrine, it should say: 'Not only is one deluded about the self-nature of this true emptiness, one is also confused about the place from which body and mind arise.' This is merely finding it strange that there are flowers in the sky, while being unaware of the cataract in one's eyes; outwardly loathing the suffering and afflictions of body and mind, while not knowing that deluded sentiment is harbored within.
