一切法空，不生滅也，謂如上相因諸相猶若虛空，本自不生，今無可滅，非謂拂之方令空也，故《佛藏經》云：「一切法空，無毫末相」等。

All phenomena are empty and do not arise or cease. That is to say, the mutually dependent marks mentioned above are like empty space: fundamentally unarisen of themselves, now there is nothing to cease; it does not mean that one brushes them away only then to make them empty. Therefore the *Buddhapiṭaka-sūtra* states: 'All phenomena are empty, without the slightest mark,' and so forth.
