一切法寂，不來去也，非已去、非未來、非現起故。故《法句》云：「諸法從本來，寂滅無所動。」《法華》亦云：「常自寂滅相。」

All phenomena are quiescent and do not come or go, because they are not already gone, not yet to come, and not presently arising. Therefore the *Dharmapada* states: 'All phenomena from the beginning are quiescent and unmoving.' The *Lotus Sūtra* also states: 'Eternally possessing the mark of quiescence of themselves.'
