悟得妙境，安住其中，持之不失，即修慧也。下佇聽佛說，生聞慧也。從凡入聖必假三慧，故普眼為眾咨求。上皆問智也，此下問悲云。
Awakening to the wondrous realm, abiding securely within it, and maintaining it without losing it is the wisdom of cultivation. Waiting below to hear the Buddha speak gives rise to the wisdom of hearing. Progressing from ordinary person to sage necessarily relies on the three wisdoms; therefore Samantacakṣu inquires on behalf of the assembly. The above are all inquiries regarding wisdom; what follows asks about compassion, saying:
