This is identical to the Lotus Sūtra's wish to lead sentient beings to open, reveal, awaken to, and enter [buddha-knowledge]. 'Opening' subsumes 'revealing', and 'awakening to' subsumes 'entering', because opening and revealing pertain to the one who transforms, while awakening to and entering pertain to those who are transformed. In terms of the present sūtra, the Buddha's subsequent answer takes entirely as its basis the previously revealed pure, perfectly enlightened mind of the Tathāgata, in order to contemplate the two emptinesses of person and phenomena, as well as the extinction of images into boundless empty space, which is manifested by enlightenment; because enlightenment is perfectly luminous, revealing the purity of the mind up to being equal to all buddhas is precisely universally bringing them to awaken.
