Because a body is formed based on the combination of the four great elements and the six sense faculties, the six sense objects delusively appear. Due to these internal and external faculties and objects, an illusory mind is induced to condition and deliberate without cessation, arising and ceasing thought after thought, not halting for an instant. When conditions assemble it exists; when conditions disperse it is gone. Investigating its own substance, it is completely unobtainable; hence it is called 'provisionally named "mind"'. Although this false mind arises provisionally through conditions, it is not separated from the energetic aspect of the true mind; hence it is called 'intentional energy'. Saying 'seemingly' clarifies that it is not truly existent. The 'mark of conditioning objects' is the mark of conditioning and deliberating.
