This directly reveals it. It reveals that the nature of perfect enlightenment is fundamentally pure, perfect, and luminous, a solitary substance that is entirely true, not obtained through cultivation. Although the multitude of illusions cease, the intrinsic nature always remains, not relying on conditions to arise; hence it is called 'not illusory.' The Vajrasamādhi-sūtra states: 'If one attains the empty mind, the mind is not an illusion.' However, in contrast to the exhaustion of prior delusion it is explained as tathatā, while in terms of this school it is simply called perfect enlightenment.
