躡前起後也。由前云：盡於虛空平等清淨，即知相盡同空。空既本無生滅動搖，當知諸法亦本不生亦不待滅，一一當體如如不動。

takes up the preceding to introduce what follows. Because it was said earlier that to the exhaustion of empty space all is equally pure, one thereby knows that when marks are exhausted they are identical to emptiness. Since emptiness is fundamentally free of arising, ceasing, and agitation, one should know that all phenomena are likewise fundamentally unarisen and do not await cessation; each, in its very essence, is as-it-is and unmoving.
