泯前心迹，起後依正凡聖平等之文。若不泯之，則雖無憎敬，尚見持毀等，故須泯之，方同佛見。自此已下正顯其同。

effaces the preceding mental traces and initiates the subsequent text on the equality of environment and person, ordinary and sage. If one did not efface them, then although there were neither despising nor venerating, one would still see keeping and violating [precepts]; hence they must be effaced, and only then is one identical to the Buddha's view. From here onward, it directly reveals this identity.
