謂恒河中所有沙也。此河從阿耨池東面流出，初出象口周四十里，金沙混流，沙細如麵，細故數多也。

refers to all the sands in the Ganges River. This river flows out from the eastern side of Lake Anavatapta; when it first emerges from the elephant's mouth, it is forty li in circumference, with golden sand mixing in its flow. The sand is as fine as flour; being so fine, its count is immense.
