二、別釋行相。皆名病者，總緣不以教為繩墨，不以師為指南，但自舉心作如是意。故經文皆云：「若復有人作如是言。」言是意言矣。文四：一、生心造作。

2. Distinguishing and explaining the marks of practice. All are called 'defects' because, generally speaking, they do not use the teaching as a carpenter's line and do not use the master as a compass, but simply give rise to thoughts in their own minds and form such ideas. Therefore, the sūtra text in all cases says: 'If there is someone who makes such a statement.' A statement means an internal mental expression. The text has four parts: 1. Giving rise to thoughts of contrivance (*kṛta*).
