諸佛因地皆發此心，依此願修，方成正覺。若無心願策引，所修行亦不成。

All Buddhas in their causal stages generated this mind; only by cultivating in reliance on this vow did they accomplish right enlightenment. If there is no mental aspiration to spur and guide them, the practice they cultivate will not be accomplished either.
