2.1161

作是語已五體投地，如是三請，終而復始。爾時，世尊告圓覺菩薩言：「善哉！善哉！善男子！汝等乃能問於如來如是方便，以大饒益施諸眾生。汝今諦聽，當為汝說。」時，圓覺菩薩奉教歡喜，及諸大眾默然而聽。

Having spoken these words, he threw his five limbs to the ground; thus he made three requests, from beginning to end. At that time, the World-Honoured One told Perfect Enlightenment Bodhisattva: "Excellent, excellent! Good man, you are truly able to question the Tathāgata about such expedient means, bestowing great benefit upon sentient beings. Listen attentively now; I shall explain it for you." Then Perfect Enlightenment Bodhisattva joyfully received the teaching, and the great assembly listened in silence.
