身即五識,依色根所發故。心即意識,以五識取塵,意識分別,熏動心海,波浪從生,故不名安。今意無分別,五不妄緣,識浪永寂,與體一如,故名安也。身安故即成所作智,心安故則妙觀察智。

The body is the five consciousnesses, because they arise depending on the physical sense organs. The mind is the mental consciousness: because the five consciousnesses grasp sense objects and the mental consciousness discriminates them, perfuming and stirring the ocean of mind so that waves arise therefrom, it is therefore not called peaceful. Now, the mental consciousness has no discrimination, and the five [consciousnesses] do not falsely take conditions; the waves of consciousness are eternally quiescent, one with the substance, hence it is called 'peace'. Because the body is at peace, it is the wisdom of accomplishing actions; because the mind is at peace, it is the wisdom of marvelous observation.
