Second, answering about preparatory practice. The text has three [parts]: first, separately cultivating the three contemplations; second, universally cultivating the three contemplations; third, mutually cultivating the three contemplations. The first text has two [parts]: first, explaining separately; second, concluding generally. In the first there are three: first, the quiet contemplation; second, the illusory contemplation; third, the quiescent contemplation. In the first there are also three: first, accomplishing the practice of contemplation.
