淨心是圓覺自體，世界本在其中。觀行成就，全合靈源，知雨滴數固宜本分，非唯雨滴，萬物皆然，舉一例諸，且標雨滴。凡夫之類迷此真心，隨念所知，故無其用。

The pure mind is the essence of perfect enlightenment itself; the worlds are originally within it. When the contemplative practice is accomplished, it completely accords with the numinous source, and knowing the number of raindrops is indeed proper to its native capacity. Not only raindrops, but all things are like this; one instance is cited to exemplify all, and raindrops are designated for the moment. The class of ordinary persons is deluded about this true mind and knows according to thought, and therefore lacks this function.
