內心雖勝，宿遇邪宗，既熏其心，積習成種，故於聖道難起信心。上明邪種也，下明師過云。

Although their inner mind is superior, having in the past encountered heterodox doctrines, once their minds are perfumed by them, their accumulated habits form a gotra (seed nature); thus it is difficult for them to generate faith in the noble path. The above clarifies the heterodox seed nature; the following clarifies the fault of the teacher, saying:
