金剛等八萬金剛，并其眷層，即從座起，頂禮佛足，右繞三匝而白佛言：「世尊！若後末世一切眾生有能持此決定大乘，我當守護，如護眼目，乃至道場所修行處，我等金剛自領徒眾，晨夕守護，令不退轉。」

"Vajra, and other vajras numbering eighty thousand, together with their retinues, who immediately rose from their seats, bowed their heads at the Buddha's feet, circumambulated him three times to the right, and said to the Buddha: 'Bhagavat! If in the later end-time all sentient beings are able to uphold this definitive Great Vehicle, we shall guard and protect them as we protect our own eyes. Up to the bodhimaṇḍas where they cultivate the path, we vajras will personally lead our followers to protect them morning and evening, causing them not to backslide.'"
