如種穀等依土長苗，收子之時苗土俱棄。種喻覺心，土喻幻法，苗喻幻智。謂悟淨圓覺，依幻法而起幻智，從幻智而忘心入覺，入覺則前二皆袪。

Just as sowing grain and the like relies on earth to sprout shoots, and at the time of harvesting the seeds, the shoots and the earth are both discarded: the seed illustrates the enlightened mind, the earth illustrates illusory dharmas, and the shoot illustrates illusory wisdom. That is, awakening to pure perfect enlightenment, one relies on illusory dharmas to produce illusory wisdom; through illusory wisdom one forgets the mind and enters enlightenment; once one enters enlightenment, the previous two are both dispelled.
