「若諸菩薩以變化力種種起用資於至靜（齊靜），後斷煩惱（兼寂），此菩薩者，名齊修三摩鉢提、奢摩他，後修禪那。」

"If these bodhisattvas, through the power of transformation, generate various functions to assist utmost stillness (simultaneous stillness), and afterward sever afflictions (combining quiescence), this bodhisattva is said to cultivate samāpatti and śamatha simultaneously, and cultivate dhyāna afterward."
