四、潛續如命，謂都無所執，但擬修行，由不起心免前三過，即此無執之業智相續未忘，非故生心，故言潛續。文二：一、徵起標示。

Fourth, secretly continuing like a life-span. This means that having no grasping whatsoever, one merely intends to cultivate practice; by not giving rise to thoughts, one avoids the previous three faults. Yet this karmic wisdom of non-grasping continues without being forgotten; not deliberately giving rise to thought, it is therefore called 'secretly continuing.' The text has two parts: 1. Inquiring and pointing out.
