良由認我以為涅槃，故雖多劫勤修，終無所益。如認夢身以為自己，勤為家業種種疲勞，終無一事益於資產。

It is truly because they mistake the self for nirvāṇa that, although they cultivate diligently for many kalpas, in the end there is no benefit. It is like mistaking the dream-body for oneself: diligently working for the family business with all kinds of exhaustion, in the end not a single thing benefits one's estate.
