迷因也。即知先須悟道，然後多聞增慧。末世之人多迷此意，唯宗名數，不務了心。心既不通，解義唯多，我見唯長。故下云。

This is being deluded about the cause. One should know that one must first awaken to the path, and then wide learning increases wisdom. People of the degenerate age are mostly deluded about this intention; they prioritize only numerical lists and do not strive to comprehend the mind. Since the mind is not comprehended, the more interpretations of meaning one has, the more views of a self grow. Hence it says below:
