The perfectly luminous nature and essence of sentient beings is not different from that of the buddhas; it is only because of false emotional attachments that ordinary persons and sages appear separated. Now that the marks of body and mind are exhausted and false thoughts no longer arise, the wondrous mind of perfect enlightenment mutually interpenetrates across ordinary persons and sages. In truth and reality, one's own body and mind also universally appear within the buddhas of the ten directions. Thus a past worthy stated: 'At dusk, the xu hour, silent body and mind have nothing at all; buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges enter my body, and my body always enters the buddhas numerous as the sands of the Ganges.' Here it is explained primarily from the standpoint of the contemplative practitioner, hence it says 'all buddhas become manifest within it.'
