From here on, each of the twenty-five wheels has an introduction, an enumeration, and a conclusion. Each should also state: "awakening to pure perfect enlightenment to serve as the basis for initiating practice." Because this was presented previously, out of concern that the text would be cumbersome, the sūtra omits it. Furthermore, the characteristics of these first three contemplations were already fully explained earlier; here, in order to divide them into the number twenty-five, they are briefly explained to reveal the forms of individual and combined practice. Therefore, each of the three contemplations is designated with "only" and concluded with "individually," the intent being to show that they do not combine with the other two. This is because their power cannot yet encompass them, not that they disparage other practices.
