Knowing that craving evil and craving good both fail to escape suffering, they discard that craving mind and delight in cultivating the dharmas of equanimity. The dharmas of equanimity are the four dhyānas and eight samāpattis; yet they do not know that the mind delighting in equanimity is still identical to that craving, and therefore it is said that it 'yet nurtures the root of craving.'
