10.96

毘嚩是堅固住義，亦是除諸縛也，謂以理除縛不以非法也。埵字中有多聲即是如如，薩字有堅固義也。也字是乘，乘此如如之乘而進於行，傍有阿字之點即是行也。乘相如如而進行者，即是去成正覺也。

*Vā* has the meaning of firm abiding, and also of eliminating all bonds—meaning eliminating bonds through the principle, not through non-dharma. Within the syllable *sva* there are multiple sounds, which is thusness (tathatā); the syllable *sa* has the meaning of firmness. The syllable *ya* is the vehicle; mounting this vehicle of thusness to advance in practice, the dot of the syllable A beside it is practice. Advancing mounted upon the characteristics of thusness means going forth to achieve complete awakening.
