所以名寶處者，如寶生於海，從彼處生，故名寶處也。如寶在海，從彼而有，故得名也。
The reason he is named Ratnākara ('Jewel Mine') is that just as jewels are produced in the ocean, arising from that place, he is named Ratnākara. Because jewels are in the ocean and exist from it, he gets this name.
