The forty-sixth: "What is the color mind? It is having conformity to others as its nature." For example, regarding dyes of blue, yellow, red, white, and the like: if raw silk is put into them, it takes on the same color. This person's mind is also like this: seeing and hearing wholesome teachings, it follows along with their practice; seeing and hearing unwholesome deeds, it also practices and learns in accordance with them; even with neutral deeds it is likewise—shifting according to whatever circumstances it confronts. When the practitioner realizes this in themselves, reflecting on exclusively seeking the Dharma of self-realization, not being awakened by others and not being swayed by external conditions, serves as its antidote.
