In the meaning of the phrases above: vajrajvāla means vajra-blaze; visphura means pervasive. It means that this vajra-wisdom radiance pervades all, able to eliminate the dark hindrances of saṃsāra and also eclipse them; this is the meaning of the Tathāgata's armor. This mantra takes the final syllable hūṃ as its essence, fully endowed with the three gates of liberation. That is to say, the bindu representing the syllable na above is the meaning of the great emptiness, which is the emptiness gate of liberation. Its basic body is the syllable ha, which, being free from causes and conditions, is the signless gate of liberation. Below it has the stroke for the samādhi of the vowel u, which, being unborn, is the wishless gate of liberation. These three gates cannot be entered by any hindrances. Because this light of wisdom adorns the body throughout, it is called the Tathāgata's armor. Examining the secret seal, the Sanskrit text there seems to have a lacuna; I suspect this is the mantra for the halo of Vajrasattva, and further Sanskrit manuscripts should be consulted.
