As for the fifty-ninth, “What is the rebirth-producing mind? It refers to when all cultivated karmic actions share this same nature with the mind that produces that [rebirth]”: Just as people receive good or bad retributions from white or black karma, and because what they do is mixed and varied, they receive those countless diverse bodies. This mind is also like this: all the practices it cultivates are directed toward producing rebirth; one should know that the fruits obtained will also combine good and bad. Therefore the practitioner should resolve to discern and select between good and bad, eliminate what is unwholesome, and purely cultivate white dharmas. Within this good, they should further use wisdom to remove the coarse ore, proceeding in this order until they accomplish the purely unmixed, pristine, wondrous fruit of ghee; this is the antidote.
