The next verse: / "Past fully enlightened ones, / And those of future times, / And all present World-Honoured Ones, / Abide in benefiting sentient beings. / All such virtuous ones, / Understanding the wondrous Dharma of mantras, / With diligence obtain all-knowledge, / And sit in signless bodhi": / this opens up all the upāya gateways of the buddhas of the ten directions and the three times, that they achieve buddhahood solely through a single path and there is no other path, because buddhas share the same path. Here he again cites all buddhas as witness, a matter extensively explained in the Lotus Sūtra. Furthermore, "abide in benefiting" means greatly benefiting and bringing peace and happiness to sentient beings, which is the abiding place of the Tathāgata. "All such virtuous ones" are the Tathāgatas. Because their vows and practices like Samantabhadra's are all fully perfected, they are called by this title. All, from understanding this wondrous Dharma of mantras, attain great diligence and accomplish sarvajñā; in accordance with the verse's abbreviation, it says "all-knowledge". Sitting in the extinction of all phenomena is bodhi; it is not already accomplished, currently accomplished, or to be accomplished; there is no dharma to be contemplated, and it is not obtained from another; what sign could it have? This bodhi cannot be spoken of to show to others, so the next verse further illustrates it through external traces.
