1.12

第四段中，依此正住平等戒。正住平等戒者，住戒性心，不起持戒心也。前以明德，此禁犯因。

In the fourth section, "Relying on this, to dwell uprightly in the precepts of equality": to dwell uprightly in the precepts of equality means to dwell in the mind of the nature of the precepts, without giving rise to a mind that [actively] upholds precepts. Previously, the virtues were explained; here, the causes of transgression are prohibited.
