From "I now entreat all Tathāgatas" onward is the seventh, the mantra gate of the upāya of entreaty; the verses and mantra are the same as before. True wisdom and great compassion constantly benefit sentient beings; because they benefit sentient beings, they rain down the rain of the Dharma. Reciting this mantra with utmost sincerity causes one to entreat the Dharma to remain in the world, and therefore it is called entreaty.
