勝相妙絕，知非愛生，思渴瞻仰，故求捨愛。願從佛化，俾易妙身，斯不知以愛捨愛轉增妄矣。

Seeing that the superior marks were exquisitely extraordinary and knowing they were not born of love, he thirsted in thought and gazed in veneration; therefore he sought to renounce love. Vowing to follow the Buddha's transformation so as to obtain a wondrous body—in this he did not realize that renouncing love by means of love only further increases delusion.
