A later passage lists twelve classes; here he cites a round number. Because ordinary beings create different karmas and experience differentiated results, they are called 'different births' (heterogeneous beings). 'All the world' brings up the dependent [environment] to reveal the primary [sentient beings]. First he cites the ordinary mind being inside, and then points to the Buddha's eyes being on the face, wishing to take these as examples that he himself is also like this.
