「阿難！譬如我拳，若無我手，不成我拳。若無汝眼，不成汝見。以汝眼根，例我拳理，其義均不？」
"Ānanda! For example, my fist: if there were no hand of mine, it would not become my fist. If there were no eyes of yours, it would not become your seeing. Taking your eye faculty to analogize the principle of my fist, are the meanings equal or not?"
