10.111

既十六相皆死後有，煩惱亦爾，以是生死根故；菩提亦爾，以是覺元明故。真妄兩驅，畢竟無改，二皆有相也。

Since the sixteen characteristics all exist after death, defilement is also thus, because it is the root of saṃsāra; bodhi is also thus, because it is the fundamental clarity of enlightenment. The true and the false run side by side, ultimately without alteration, both having characteristics.
