10.187

觀中暫爾也。暫於觀中似開根隔，未全互用也。諸類通覺者，於此觀中已見十方眾生及與我身同一覺性，互相融合，無知覺殊，此即能入圓元也。此之境界全是識影，未為寂滅。故前文云「而於寂滅精妙未圓。」

This is temporary within contemplation. Temporarily within contemplation it seems as though the barriers between the faculties open, but mutual functioning is not yet complete. 'Communicates in awakening with all kinds [of beings]' means that within this contemplation he has seen that the sentient beings of the ten directions and his own body are of the same nature of awakening, mutually blending together without difference in perception or knowing; this is being able to enter the perfect origin. This realm is entirely a shadow of consciousness and is not yet quiet extinction. Hence the earlier text says, 'yet in quiet extinction the refined and wondrous is not yet complete.'
