問：據下七段皆云能非能等，獨有此文為因所因耶？答：以一切諸法皆從識變，正是所因，以不了虛妄，執為實因，故同外道。下文直顯當體虛妄，故云非能等也。

Question: According to the seven passages below, all speak of 'the capable and non-capable' and so forth; why does only this passage speak of 'causes and non-causes'? Answer: Because all dharmas are transformed from consciousness, it is precisely the cause. Failing to understand that it is false and grasping it as a real cause, he is identical to non-Buddhists. The passages below directly reveal that the entity itself is false; hence they speak of 'non-capable' and so forth.
