於無常處妄計為常，名常非常執。自在天，即首羅也。前計他從我生，今執我從他起，故云計自在也。因依心即識陰也，立為他體，計能生我，故同外道計彼為常。

Falsely clinging to the impermanent as permanent is called 'grasping at the permanent and non-permanent.' The Sovereign Deva is Maheśvara. Previously he grasped that others arise from oneself; now he grasps that oneself arises from another, hence it says 'taking the Sovereign Deva [as cause].' The 'mind of causal reliance' is the aggregate of consciousness; establishing it as another's nature and clinging that it can produce oneself makes him identical to non-Buddhists clinging to him as permanent.
